New Year’s Evolution

Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

Well, here it is, New Year’s Eve, and the season for New Year’s resolutions is upon us.  Anyone plugged into the mainstream media has undoubtedly heard how futile these resolutions are: 44% of Americans still make them, and the vast majority are discarded within the first weeks of the year.  It’s been a while since I made one, and I have no intention of changing that this year.  But it did get me thinking about things.

loss

Monday, December 8th, 2008

I would get interested in something, then dive in head first and immerse myself in the subject, learn a good deal about it, then move on without doing much with what I just learned. I think it’s because I liked the idea of something, rather than liking the thing itself.
