adjustments
Today is Day 10 of my 28 Day Challenge. Things are going ok - some habits I haven’t been able to establish consistently, others I haven’t been able to give up except for a few days, though the frequency is decreasing, and others need some tweaking. Overall, I’m noticing a change for the better. Given that I changed so many things so quickly, it should come as no surprise that some things would need adjustment.
The biggest one I’ve noticed is my diet. Being an aspiring raw/living foods eater can be difficult sometimes. Many raw foodists are only a percentage raw - typically 80%, if the literature is any indication. The biggest problem I’ve been having so far is sufficient calories to keep my energy up. So I’m eating some cooked food to compensate, but it’s the wrong kind of food - too many empty calories. My answer then, is to start looking into more varied raw foods that are more calorically dense - so over the next couple days I’ll be looking for foods that have more calories and have higher concentrations of vitamins and minerals.
I’ve taken this challenge to heart, and while I may not be able to say I achieved everything I wanted at the end of this challenge, I’m well on my way to doing so. I’ve still got one of my biggest time sinks under control - tv. That is creating time for me to do other things, in some cases, a lot of time. I’m still working on how the things I want to do fill the void that less television leaves. The challenge, like my life, is a work in progress.
