temporary setback

Nothing like having a 3 day weekend self destruct on the first day of the weekend.  At 10:30 on Saturday morning, I began experiencing sharp pains in my right abdominal region and back.  I thought my back had gone out, though I couldn’t figure out what exactly I had done that would cause it.  I took a bath and put on some muscle rub, but by noon or so I was dressed and headed for urgent care.

the mixed blessing of potential

I think I’m finally about recovered from wrestling with my sinuses. As a preface, for those of you who don’t know, I’ve written articles for a magazine called The Light down in Florida for the last few months. Sadly, that publication has temporarily ceased, and it’s future is unclear. This would have been my topic for the June issue, had one gone out.

beltaine reflections

Beltaine has come and gone, and for the second consecutive year, instead of celebrating, I find myself dealing with the aftereffects of a break up with my girlfriend.  For those of you who don’t know, Beltaine is a Wiccan/pagan holiday and often involves fertility rites and all that implies.  Many Wiccans and pagans consider it one of their two big holidays of the year, but this year, like last, the day came and went almost unremembered, definitely not celebrated.

tools for living

A friend of mine at work recently loaned me some material related to Ester and Jerry Hicks series on the Law of Attraction. Though I have not gotten halfway through it yet, I have found the material clarifying some of my thoughts and explaining certain things I had not thought of or worked out for myself up to this time. When she first told me about it, I was a bit skeptical at first, but it did send my thoughts down what is going to be a fruitful path.

I didn’t realize it’s been so long since my last post - too long by a measure. I suppose that’s the price of a busy life. Anyway, I was at the gardens Thursday evening for the first of 5 Rhythm & Blooms events. Being in the gardens at night is always a treat for me, and I made the most of it.
