return week
After a 40 day layoff, I finally made it back into the dojo last week. I didn’t mean to take that much time off - but I didn’t have much of a choice.
I was having trouble sleeping - I’d wake up early in the morning, tired, unable to go back to sleep, drag through the day, then try going to bed early on to lay there and toss and turn, unable to go to sleep. I finally got see my acupuncturist a couple weeks ago, and he fixed a pretty serious energetic imabalance. It took a few days to for the energy circulation to be restored and for me to get over being sore, but once I was, I was good to go.
Alas, I was only able to go twice last week instead of all three times - I made some bad choices on Friday regarding my meals, so I spent the mojority of the day feeling nauseous. Rather than going to the dojo and getting sick, I decided to just stay home and get feeling better. I’m looking forward to class tomorrow evening, getting back on the mat. I’m out of shape, again, but that won’t last long. This year is the year, I will be testing for my black belt come November. Until then, there’s lots of work to do, both in and out of the dojo.
