tiger outrage

Ok, I’ve heard all I can listen to about this without saying something.  Two days ago, a tiger escaped from it’s enclosure inthe San Francisco Zoo, killing one man and mauling two others before being killed by officers responding to reports of an escaped tiger.  That someone was killed, or even injured, is completely regrettable,  What is absolutely intolerable and pisses me off is the killing of the tiger.

Is a visit from my new girlfriend… Yes, you read that right, my new girlfriend.  We’ve been trading emails for a while, became friends, and then things just went to the next level.  We haven’t met in person yet, but we will soon, she’s coming to visit me this weekend.

lights before Christmas

A couple nights back I went to the lights at the zoo at Riverbanks Zoo. I went last year too, but this year wasn’t the same. I got there later, there was a bigger crowd, and it was nowhere near as cold as last year, being a balmy mid-50s compared to last year’s low 30s.

hitman

Not so long ago I went to see the movie Hitman in the theatres.  Not a bad action flick really - not my favorite, but definitely worth the price of a ticket.  I’d seen the game in Sam’s Club a year or two ago, shopping for something else, and while I didn’t pick it up then, it stuck in my mind as something I might want to buy and play.  Of course, I didn’t know they were going to adapt it into a miovie.

File this entry under humor.  From the what kind of kooks do I work with dept.: there’s an anomaly going on where I work that I’ve observed, and I can’t stand it any more, I just have to say something.  A lot of guys where I work are obsessed not only with washing their hands, but with not touching any of the fixtures in the bathroom.
