whew
I can’t believe how insanely busy I’ve been the last week or so. Last week I started moving stuff out of my cube, bringing it home in preparation for starting my new job this past Monday, and I also started back to jujitsu class. With the fall clinic coming up at the beginning of next month, I have to get back into shape for it. So not only did I have new job prep going on, I had lots of soreness going on too.
The weekend wasn’t muich better that direction, I worked my legs so hard in class Friday night I was sore the whole weekend. Did ritual on Sunday night, as I talked about in my last post. And I was tired. I went to bed early Tuesday night and last night - I even skipped class last night, I was so tired.
But I am recovered this morning, so it’s ok… I think. I’m still trying to get acclimated at the new job, getting overwhelmed, and figuring out who doesn’t like who so I can avoid the political landmines, which appear to be more numerous than my old position. Or maybe I was just better insulated from them. In any case, a lot of it seems like mountains out of molehills, and some of the mountains are being trivialized into molehills when they shouldn’t. Oh well, guess I just have to learn how to navigate the waters here and try to stay out of the fray.
Looks like Samhain will be solitary again this year. Although I’ve been a solitary for a while, it feels like I’m getting used to it all over again. Which I suppose I am, since I haven’t been doing regular rituals in while. I may change that next year, try to observe the sabbats and esbats both. I kind of feel like I’m drifting a little bit right now, and while that’s not necessarily a bad thing, it’s not really what I want. I’m thinking it’s time to pick a direction and stick to it, rather than just drifting off course, as it were. Should prove interesting, if nothing else.
I got myHalloween decorations up over the weekend also. Money’s been a bit tight lately, so I haven’t been able to add to my decorations, but payday is tomorrow, so I might still get one or two items this year. My number one priority right now is making sure I have the money to attend the clinic next month, Halloween decorations be damned.
Work continues on my next story, inspired by my favorite song. It’s going to be a bit longer than my last one, so it may be a week or two before I have it up on the site, dependsing on how much free time I have at lunch and on the weekends to devote to it. So, I think that pretty much covers everything for the moment, at least in brief, I should have an update later this week. I still have Samhain and a star ritual to write, and I will likely write those before I finish my story, so it may take more than a week. We shall see.
