garden mishaps

I’ve noticed that my garden is not doing too well this year, I think the dirt I planted it in is nutritionally deficient, it’s showing signs of nitrogen  deficiency.

Seriously, it’s not doing too well.  Half the tomato plants are gone, the peppers aren’t doing well, the cilantro died - the only thing doing reasonably well are the marigolds and the spearmint.  Later this year I’ll be mixing in some serious compost, both for water retention and soil improvement.
I can’t really say that I’ve been in any better shape than my garden either.  Although I weighed in at 190.0 on Monday, down two  pounds from last week, I’ve been feeling pretty up and down lately, mostly down.  Not much energy, kind of irritable, not sleeping well - not sick, but not great either. It’s not surprising that the acupuncturist I went to yesterday said I had issues.  Something he said yesterday made a lot of sense to me, although it wasn’t something I was expecting to hear.  Since it’s Chinese medicine stuff, I won’t recount it since it likely wouldn’t mean much to anyone reading this.
I got a good night’s rest last night, mowed the lawn today, and  dozed on the couch for a bit.  I’ll be heading off to a friend’s house from work soon to hang out and eat some supper, hopefuly I can stay awake for it.
