falling apart

I thought I had cleared the injury from last week and was just waiting on my muscles to settle down, but now I think my back’s still out.  The more painful of the two went in, but I’m convinced one is still out.  I’ll be calling a chiropractor today, hopefully I can get in to see him today.

the human touch

I’ve been noticing lately how much of my life is lived inside these little boxes we call computers.  Yes, I realize I work on them five days a week as part of my job, and that’s causing me more than a little dissatisfaction at the moment.  My friends all have lives of their own, as do I, so I don’t hear from them online that much, nor do I get to talk to them in real life that often either.  Lately I’ve been looking to start dating again, and meet some new friends, but no surprise, I’m doing most of that online as well.  It just isn’t enough any more.

injury

Well, this last week was a fairly difficult week.  I got injured in jujitsu class Monday evening, my back was out for two days.  The over the counter pain reliever I’ve been taking has been messing with me also, and I had to work a full day yesterday to boot.  All in all, I’d say it was a pretty miserable week.

Ok, so maybe that’s a bit harsh, but the reality of it is, it’s a lot of work with only a glimmer of reward out there.  After several potential contacts at a dating site that shall remain nameless, I finally decided to bite the bullet and upgrade my membership so I could email a couple of them.

garden visit

Tonight I had the good fortune to visit the local botanic gardens after normal operating hours.  Once a month during the summer, they hold what are called first thuirsdays, where the gardens are opened up from 6 - 9 pm for music, food, and some drink if you desire.

garden mishaps

I’ve noticed that my garden is not doing too well this year, I think the dirt I planted it in is nutritionally deficient, it’s showing signs of nitrogen  deficiency.
