I found out something interesting about my body this week: it won’t tolerate a diet of completely cooked food any longer.
I was on vacation this past week, and spent a lot of time with my girlfriend. Part of that time was spent eating, naturally. There were a couple of days where the food didn’t sit that well with me. I can’t be entirely sure it was all diet though, as I was a bit tired those days too, which makes my digestive tract more sensitive for some reason, but there you have it. Anyway, suffice it to say that there will always be raw food of some kind in my diet from here on. Maybe not at every meal, but for a lot of them. Apparently I’ve grown too sensitive to eat what the average American eats and still feel healthy. I got gassy, had indigestion, and just generally didn’t feel as well as I do when I eat raw.
This way of eating isn’t for everyone, but apparently my body won’t tolerate my old eating habits any longer.
