state of shock

Well, I am back on my own again, I no longer have a girlfriend. The why and how of our break up is unimportant, but all things considered, it’s probably for the best.
I have noticed an annoying tendency in myself sometimes to overthink things.
I found out something interesting about my body this week: it won’t tolerate a diet of completely cooked food any longer.
While a lot has happened this past week while I was on vacation, I’d rather take a few minutes and discuss this bit of randomness:
You can never solve a problem on the level on which it was created. - Albert Einstein
I’m on vacation this week. This past Friday, I had to work quite late. About 8:30 in the evening, my dad called me while I was still at work to tell me he and mom were headed east to see his mom. My grandmother, his mom, is in a nursing home, and has been for a couple of years.
I had a lot on my mind as I was leaving work today. I’ll warn you now, this is a hellaciously long post.
I’ve been extremely busy lately, spending a lot of time with my girlfriend. It’s been very good for me for many reasons, one of which I want to go into here. With less time to do the things I’ve been doing, I’m finding out what I really consider to be important and what is ‘filler’.
