sick
I’m home sick today.
Most of the last week has been spent dealing with illness. First, my girlfriend was sick on her birthday this past Wednesday, so I took care of her, and she was still sick on Thursday, although starting to feel a bit better. Then Friday I came down with what she had and left work early on Friday. I thought I was feeling better Saturday, so I did some shopping and hung out with some work friends, but wound up lying around again yesterday just like Friday, so I took today off to avoid the rebound effect again.
This is a nasty bug, everyone in my girlfriend’s family had it, flu-like symptoms with diarrhea with nausea and vomiting, although I seem to have escaped the vomiting part. I wound up sleeping a lot over the weekend, 15 hours between friday noon and Saturday morning, I haven’t slept that much at a single stretch in a very long time. And then I duplicated the feat again yesterday. Man I hate being sick.
